Dr. Ross Johnson

Dr. Johnson graduated dental school from the University of Colorado in 2014. After graduation, he completed a residency program, affiliated with the USAF, at Langley, AFB, Virginia. He then went on to active duty and provided dental care, in all scopes of dentistry, to our men and women in uniform. Dr. Johnson then decided to pursue further education and completed his orthodontic residency at the University of Colorado in 2021. He completed his board certification in 2021. He remains with the Air Force, but as a reservist, where he continues to serve, participate in taskings and humanitarian missions state-side and abroad. He is a member of the American Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontists, College of Diplomates of the American Board of Orthodontics and American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine.

Dr. Johnson has a passion for diagnosing and treating temporomandibular joint disorders and the associated headaches, migraines, jaw pain and airway issues often associated with them. He has been involved with numerous publications on the topic of TMDs and has lectured to other doctors and residents on the subject.

He and his wife, Jessie, are excited to become part of the team at Dahm Dental and hope their skills will be of service to the community in Pella and the surrounding area.

“My philosophy: To treat my patients as I would want to be treated. To get to know my patients and establish that all important connection to better address their dental needs and concerns. To help them achieve their oral health goals, to the best of my ability. For TMJ, Airway and pain patients, specifically: To provide an option for the improvement or resolution of their symptoms, so that they can move on with their lives and live it well.”
